About us
Bowens Catering began as a humble concept in 2023. Inspired by her experience cooking on a cattle station in the Australian outback, founder Nikki dreamt of turning her passion for heart-felt, homecooked food into a business. Today, Bowens Catering is the fulfilment of that dream - a business born from adventure, hard work, and a love for creating food that brings people together.
Outside catering plays a big role in our daily operations. From office spreads to celebrations, we thoughtfully create hand-crafted platters to meet your event needs. We know food isn’t one-size-fits-all, which is why we’re always happy to design bespoke menus to suit you.
An exciting new venture from Bowens Catering, inspired by a love of travel and discovering new places - The Pit Stop ‘cafe’ welcomes visitors on weekends. The perfect place to enjoy great coffee and a bite to eat, whilst taking in the fresh Welsh countryside air. Ideally located in close proximity to many Wye Valley trails, it is a welcome stop for walkers and explorers alike.
The story behind our logo
While studying photography at college, Nikki carried out a project exploring psychic mediumship. Curious about whether there was any truth to it, she organised a reading in the hope of connecting with her grandfather and thanking him for everything he had done for her.
Many things were shared that deeply resonated, but one stood out above all else - pink roses. When she later looked back through old photographs of her grandfather’s home, she realised it had once been surrounded by them. From that moment on, pink roses became her good luck charm.
Today, that symbol carries even more meaning. Nikki is building her business on the very same land that was once farmed by her grandfather. At its heart, our logo is a simple expression of gratitude, respect, and the feeling of being looked after - values that guide everything we do.
